Arriving at Nexus Clinic, I initially did not have any plans of doing any treatment, and was just there for a comprehensive doctor’s consultation. That’s where I was introduced to Dr Lashela who in the consultation highlighted the importance of customizing a treatment for my skin condition, and ‘fattiness’ and giving me the opportunity to discuss any concerns I had.

Did I have any concerns? Yes I did! And it had everything to do with how rounded my face have gotten over the years from the rich and fatty food intake, majority of it going into my cheeks, chin and upper neck area. When I was given a choice of whether I wanted it to remain this way, or go for Nexus Clinic state of the art MesoLipo Fat Melting Injection Procedure, I took it up after a short consideration.

Okay, a quick introduction into the procedure I am getting myself into is in order. Some may question the ‘rashness’ of my decision, to go ahead immediately that morning with the procedure. Well, I guess I was pretty confident that it will help me, as it is a non-invasive procedure, meaning no cutting and stitching of body parts. After agreeing to do the MesoLipo Fat Melting Injection procedure, my face needed to be numbed, as the procedure does not require any general anesthetic. This means, the injections will go directly into my facial fats, with promises of burning it off within a couple of treatments. Numbing cream was applied to the areas to be injected. Fortunately I was in high spirit that morning and did not think much about the needles.

What happens next? How long does the MesoLipo Fat Melting Injection proceduretake? More importantly, does it hurt when multiple injections were administered to the fats on my face, chin and upper neck?

It’s been a couple of months or so after my first aesthetic beauty treatment over at Nexus Clinic where they performed this non-invasive MesoLipo Fat Melting procedure on my face. If you have not read it yet, go check it out! Today’s post shall go into slightly more detail on what the procedure is all about, and what I went through during the first and 2nd treatment. Yes, you will see my rather unflattering face being worked on.

I was told the Mesolipo is a body reshaping procedure that reduces and reshapes specific undesired pocket of fats in your body, especially in your hips, thighs, stomach, bottom, back, waist, under breasts, underarms and above knees. It promises to ‘melt’ away unwanted fat and flush it out of your body system. Hence this is one of the main reason I went ahead, as I felt my double chin was beginning to irritate me.

As can be seen from the picture above, my lovely Doctor Lashela began working on my face 30 minutes after the application of the numbing cream and the ice pack. At that point of time, I couldn’t really feel my face already, yes I tried poking and pinching it with no apparent pain. The needles used were small, with the pain threshold at a 4 from a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the least painful.

So how does a MesoLipo Fat Melting procedure actually works to burn off the fats on the targeted segments of our body? From the information I was given, a cocktail of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and supplements is administered in a specific area of your body. It blocks the cells at that area from storing fats while stimulating it to burn up the fats.

 The vitamins, minerals and amino acids tighten the skin, while the lipolytic agent helps break down the existing fat cells. The liquefied fat will then be flushed out naturally from your body through the lymphatic system. Therefore, over the subsequent weeks, you should see a gradual loss of inches, tightening of skin and smoothing cellulite after a few sessions of Mesolipo Procedure.

Immediately after like seven to eight MesoLipo injections (roughly 10ml) to the face, I was ushered to the next room to undergo their Venus Freeze treatment. What this treatment basically does is to gently initiate the skin’s natural self-healing response, without injuring delicate skin. Combining eight energy waves of radiofrequency and magnetic pulse energies, each Venus Freeze treatment is like multiple different skin corrections, in one treatment! In layman’s terms, it’s a face-lifting procedure without the cutting.

Another great feature of Venus Freeze is that it can be used in combination with,and actually helps to accentuate the results of other fat loss procedures, such as weight loss medicines or fat melting injections, and that’s how I ended up using the machine.

It wasn’t a huge noticeable difference after the first MesoLipo procedure, but I did notice a slight fat reduction in the lower cheeks, under the chin and the neck area. The fats actually slowly burned away over the next couple of weeks. It is recommended to go for at least 3 treatments (or according to doctor’s advice, varies with patient), to see the results. As for now, I’m pretty contented with the reduction, which hopefully will remain. Fats begone!
