HCG Weight Loss Program reviewed by Blogger, Nicole Wong

HCG Diet – Weight loss journey with Nexus Clinic

Chinese New Year is over, the one thing most people will have in common now is the bigger number in kg! Chinese New Year Food especially the snacks are definitely bad for the tummy and hips. If you are trying really hard to find the easiest way to shed few kgs off that body, you might be reading the correct post.
There are overwhelming number of slimming methods one could find out there. One of it is HCG diet. I was approached by Mediviron UOA Clinic to undergo their treatment and since everyone around me have been telling that I looked pregnant (that fat huh?), I decided to go for a slimming treatment even though my face could benefit some other treatments. In Nexus Clinic, there are few types available and based on my consultation with Dr Leesha, HCG treatment would be the most suitable one. First of all, I hardly have or find time to exercise. Second, personally, sticking to the diet plan is much more doable and look more promising than exercising at least 3 times a week.
For those of you who never heard of HCG diet, HCG is short for human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone that women make when they are pregnant. I asked my doctor the stupidest question ever and please no offense to pregnant lady out there, ” why pregnant women? aren’t they suppose to be fat? how can I slim down?” Well, I won’t quote her answer here but feel free to google the reason behind it. hahaha.
After being briefed by Joan, I was then being directed into the consultation room. After few Q & As with Dr Leesha, we decided HCG diet is the optimum choice. But before it is final, she needed to know that I am capable of injecting myself at home. I have read that this treatment requires you to inject the hormones to your body by yourself. So, this was not surprising but still I was nervous! To my surprise, the “inject my own fats” session went very smooth.
Well, there will be alcohol swab given to clean the area that will be injected with HCG, I will then need to position the syringe 90 degrees and push the plunger. That’s it. Done! The diet program is for 23 days and according to the Dr and also my own research, this program is categorised under the “high effort”. Which means it is tough! For the first 3 days you are allowed to eat basically anything, the Dr even advise me to take food which are high in fat (so I went for my favourite chilli pan mee, Texas fried chicken and Indian food). On day 4, the real challenge start and continues for another 19 days.
In this program you are guaranteed to lose some weight but how much depends on your own will. The toughest part of the program is not injecting yourself every morning with HCG, trust me that is the easiest! The hardest will be following the diet plan given by the Dr. You can only consume 500 calories per day. Lean meat, no visible fats and 100g per serving. No oil, no butter. Which means broil, steam, boil or grill. No carbs, sweet stuff, etc. Strict diet. Well if I can lose 8 to 10 kgs, I don’t mind eating boil chicken breast for 20 days.
The consultation went smooth even when I have to wait about 1 hour and 30 minutes from my initial appointment. I did voice up on the waiting time, but there is nothing much they can do about it since clients would sometimes add request during their consultation. After the consultation, I was given 7 syringe and 7 alcohol swabs to bring home and store in the fridge ( I will need to go for routine update every week to replenish my supply of HCG and to make sure I am on the right track), a diet plan (what to eat and to avoid) as well as a daily schedule to record my weight loss. As I am writing this, I am already on my sixth day, so far so good, no nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, etc. Only backache, not sure if it has anything to do with the diet though.

Well, I guess that’s all for my first visit. As I mentioned earlier I am required to visit the Dr every week to replenish my injections as well as checking my loss weight progress. I am excited to tell you about my first week review in my next post!

Have you ever tried this? Or are you scared? Initially, I am scared myself but now I just can’t wait to lose more weight. In the meantime, you can check their website for more info an like them on Facebook for frequent updates on promotion etc!

HCG Diet – Three weeks update (on food, weight etc).

It has been three weeks after I started my HCG program with Nexus Clinic Did I lose weight? Hahaha.. That would be your ultimate question am I right? Or do you have other things that you would want to know? Please let me know through the comments.

The past three weeks (Phase 3) were interesting. Discovery of new low fat and low carbs recipe every single day. Not forgetting how rewarding each day when the scale shows that I am getting lighter. Hahaha. I started off with 65.1kg and my ideal weight is 52kg. That is a lot of kgs to shed! According to Dr Lasheela, after this program their customer would normally lose about 5 to 8 kgs.

During my program, internet is my best friend. They have tonnes of delicious recipes online to follow without guilt! For lazy day I would normally have cabbage chicken soup! It is my favourite!

This cabbage chicken soup is amazingly tasty and super easy and fast to prepare!

With the help of the injection and diet plan given by Dr Lasheela I proudly lose 5.5kgs in total. I lose most of my weight on the first week and continue losing each week. Water is my best friend. Even before the program, which probably explains why I rarely feel hungry.

I do not have any health related issues but during the program I have cut down sugar and oily food from my diet which resulted in better cholesterol level as well as sugar level. With this program, I am forced to be more health conscious by examining what I feed my body and how it affects me. Consultation with Dr Lasheela helps a lot in learning the power food that will give the best result with the program. No doubt that this program requires high discipline and regular review with the Dr is needed BUT it is worth it! I went back once a week to make sure I am on track and to get free motivational talk. Hahaha.
I completed my program last two weeks and I am now in Phase 4 (no injection). In this phase I am allowed to eat anything except sugar and carbohydrates. The first food that went in my tummy was fried chicken. Hahaha. This phase, even without the injection, it is crucial. If you are interested to know the phases in HCG program, you can always Nexus Clinic to inquire

If you are interested in joining this program, it will cost you RM2,300 which includes a diet plan, HCG injections and weekly review on your weight.
