Volunteering At Mobile Clinic And Soup Kitchen

Mediviron UOA Clinic believes in giving back to society. We are happy to do our part in the betterment of society so on 21st July 2013, we collaborated with Sime Darby Corporation and Pertiwi Food Kitchen to help the needy. Our doctor and staff volunteered at mobile clinics in Chow Kit, Masjid India, Syed Putra and China Town from 9pm to 1am the next morning. Our doctor provided medical consultation and treatment. Patients who received free medical treatments comprised of the poor, beggars, drug addicts and sex workers. There are over 50 patients were seen on that day. Most patients had cough and cold, muscle aches and infected wounds. They were prescribed the necessary medicines including vitamins, painkillers and antibiotics, besides creams and solutions for dressing.

The volunteers also helped distribute free hot meals such as rice, chicken, bread and drinks check there. More than 300 people benefited from the free meals. In additional to this, old clothes were also given out on that day.

Dr. Chen of Mediviron UOA Clinic says: “When helping those who are down, the more we give, the more we gain.”
