Vaccination For Rohingya Refugees

Mediviron UOA Clinic doctors and staff participates in volunteer work as part of our company’s social responsibility program. We provide our services in aesthetic and non-aesthetic voluntary work for the betterment of society.

Besides giving free aesthetic treatment for the underpriviledged with disfiguring skin conditions, we also participate in medical relief camps, mobile clinics in rural areas and give free health awareness talks to the general public.

Doctors and staff of our clinic volunteered their time in a vaccination program organized by Malaysia Medical Relief Society for Myanmar Rohingya refugees in Malaysia click here. These refugees have poor access to healthcare, education and social services. Many of the children have not had any vaccination prior to this.

Our doctor and staff checked and vaccinated over 90 babies and children during this half day event held in Selayang. Vaccinations given for free included mumps, measles, rubella, hepatitis B, diptheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccines. Vitamins and deworming medicines was also prescribed.
